Aaron Chalmers BAMMA London Opponent Announced
After the stunning performance of Spanish superstar Daniel Barez at BAMMA 30, talk has naturally turned to the likelihood of BAMMA holding their first ever Spanish event.
Ashley Bothwell from BAMMA stated “We recently signed a deal with a Spanish broadcaster and they carried Daniel Barez’s hugely impressive display live from the 3Arena in Dublin. It’s fair to say that the feedback the channel received from their Spanish fans in relation to that event was massive. This obviously helps put significant momentum into the relationship and has certainly opened up the conversation in regard to BAMMA’s first ever Spanish event.”
“However, that conversation is just part of a broader picture that will see BAMMA continue to expand further into Europe in 2018. We have already targeted a selection of new cities that we will be visiting, so expect some big announcements in the final quarter of 2017.”
Spanish fans should also stayed tuned to bamma.com as news of Barez’s next bout is imminent!
Geordie Shore superstar Aaron ‘The Joker’ Chalmers makes his return at BAMMA London against newly announced opponent Alex Thompson.
Aaron ‘The Joker’ Chalmers silenced some of his harshest critics in his debut at BAMMA 29, proving his bout was no publicity stunt and that he is totally committed to the sport of MMA. He not only took the fight to Greg Jenkins, but displayed a confident style for somebody taking part in their pro debut. With his first pro bout now completed, Chalmers has the far harder task of proving that his debut was no fluke. Standing across from him this time will be Alex Thompson. Thompson has been displaying his skills on the amateur circuit for a few years now and will make his long awaited Welterweight pro debut against Chalmers. September 15th will be the decisive date that will show the country whether the TV star can rise to the challenge once again or whether Thompson will stop the hype train surrounding the popular Geordie Shore cast member in it’s tracks..
BAMMA London takes place at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 15th September and tickets are on sale now from http://bit.ly/BAMMA31
Facing the ultra tough Walter ‘Sniper’ Gahadza at the SSE Arena and making his BAMMA debut on September 15th is Dan Vinni.
A seasoned pro with a record of 15-16, the Team Skynet fighter comes into the BAMMA London event with a unique opportunity to show the MMA world the talent that he has in his armoury. With a big name opponent on one of the biggest MMA platforms, September 15th is Dan Vinni’s chance to shine.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the cage and showing the London crowd what I can do. Walter is a good opponent for me, we all know what he’s going to do, try and hit me with one of those heavy shots of his. It always amazes me when someone who supposedly has a decent level belt in BJJ never uses it. I’ve said it before, he won’t want to come to the ground with me. I’ve got more than a bulldog choke in my locker. I’ve had a great camp so far, with my team at Richmond. I’ve even had time to add in some sessions helping Tom Hardy prepare for his next movie. I’m feeling good, I’m feeling sharp and I’m looking forward to my next victory on Sept 15th.”
Dan Vinni Vs. Walter ‘The Sniper’ Gahadza will feature as part of the UNILAD Facebook Prelims which will be streamed LIVE on the night. Check in on bamma.com for times, tickets & further information.
