AXS TV FIGHTS BEST SUBMISSIONS OF 2015
Tuesday December 29, 2015— Everyone loves a good knockout, but a good submission is just as fun to watch! There were 56 submissions on AXS TV Fights in 2015, here’s a look at some of our favorites.
#5 Roger Carroll – CES MMA XXVIII
“The Leprechaun” Roger Carroll is always fun to watch and with all but one of his wins coming by submission, he’s very dangerous on the ground. Check out his handy work from CES MMA XXVII.
#4 Matthew Lopez – RFA 31
Undefeated Matthew Lopez is a fighter to keep an eye on in the RFA. Just watching this neck crank gif will make YOUR neck hurt.
#3 Sage Northcutt – Legacy 44
2015 was the year of Sage Northcutt. The 19 year-old fought twice for Legacy Fighting Championship before getting the call-up and making noise in the UFC. This face crank at Legacy 44 would be the last time we would see him on AXS TV.
#2 Alexandre Pantoja – AXS TV Superfight: RFA vs. Legacy
We’ve seen Alexandre Pantoja on AXS TV twice and he’s put his opponents to sleep in BOTH fights… The RFA champ was too much for Legacy Champ Damacio Page. Night, Night.
#1 Dylan Ashburn – Legacy 38
You don’t see this submission very often… Amateur fighter Dylan Ashburn pulled off a Twister submission on the undercard of Legacy 38. The painful submission won a Bazzie for “Submission of the Year” and is our #1 submission for 2015.
- Gil De Freitas – CES MMA XXXI
- Ricardo Ramos – Legacy 46
- Gilbert Smith – RFA 26
- Rafael Lovato Jr. – Legacy 46
- Daniel Pineda – Legacy 39
