Bellator season 11 kick off on September 5th now has a changed time it will now have a special air time at 8:00pm ET/PT on Spike TV taking place from Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino. Bellator 123 will be headlined by the Featherweight Title fight Bellator Champion Pat Curran defends his belt against Brazilian Patricio Pitbull. Tom Deblass who was originally suppose to face King Mo has now been called off a new bout is in the works with Bellator new comer Marcus Sursa.
Bellator is rapidly making its September 5th, 2014 show a must see. Fans are going to see an epic Championship rematch between Featherweight Champion Pat Curran and challenger PatrÃcio Freire. Also on the card the return of UFC Veteran and former number one Bellator Contender Check Kongo and Bellator tournament veteran King Mo will also be making his return. Even though there are some awesome fighters on the card, probably the most anticipated fighter on the card will be also making his Bellator Debut, that man is Bobby Lashley.
Pat Curran (20-5-0) 10-2-0 in Bellator has already defeated his opponent PatrÃcio Freire. (21-2-0) 9-2-0 in Bellator back in 2013 and will try and make it 2-0 against the Brazilian. Patricio Freire is on a 4 fight win streak and is the Bellator Season 9 Featherweight Tournament Champion and will try to avenge his most recent lost in his MMA Career. The Champion Pat Curran has won the Featherweight title twice and most recently defeated his long rival Danial Straus to capture the belt again and has to plan of giving it up anytime soon.
After a controversial decision loss to Rampage Jackson at Bellator 120, King Mo (12-4-1) 4-3-0 in Bellator was initially suppose to be making his return to the cage to face Tom Deblass however due to a suffered knee injury he was forced off the card. King Mo is now expected to face new comer Marcus Sursa (13-8 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).
Ending the Bellator 123 Main card will be the anticipated Bellator Debut of current TNA World Heavyweight Champion (10-2-0) in MMA Bobby Lashley, who will be facing Josh Burns (8-7-0) in what will be a clash of two heavyweight bulls. Lashley has fought in MMA before but has been criticized in the past of not being able to hang with the best of the best in MMA competition. If he wants to prove himself he will need to get a decisive win against his opponent Josh Burns. As for Josh Burns, a win for him will definitely make his name more known in the sport of MMA.
Bellator 123 is going to be held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CN. Only 10 miles from UFC Fight Night 50, Jacare vs Mousasi will be held on the very same night.
