Bellator 185 Official Results and Video Highlights

Uncasville, Conn. (Tue, October 24, 2017)– Bellator 185: Gegard Mousasi vs. Alexander Shlemenko took place last Friday, October 20, 2017 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The Live Stream of the preliminary was aird on FightBookMMA while the main card aired on Spike TV.

Gegard Mousasi (43-6-2 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) defeated Alexander Shlemenko (56-10 MMA, 12-4 BMMA) via unanimous-decision. This fight was the Spike-televised middleweight main event. Shlemenko suffered his first decision loss since since Oct. 28, 2010 almost seven years. This was a back and forth fight with Shlemenko throwing his back fists and side kicks while Gegard took down Shlemenko and tried to submit him through out the fight.

Kristina Williams (1-0) defeated Heather Hardy (1-1) via TKO by the way of the ringside doctor @2:00 of Round 2.

Ryan Quinn defeated Marcus Surin (4-1) via unanimous decision (29-28). Quinn is now 14-7.

Lisa Blaine defeated Ana Julaton (2-3) via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) to stay undefeated at 2-0.


John Lopez defeated Billy Giovanella (9-6) via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-26) to go to 6-4.

Kevin Carrier (1-0) defeated Jose Antonio Perez (0-1) by unanimous decision 30-27 to win his Pro Debut.

Vovka Clay defeated Frank Sforza (6-1) @1:17 of Round 2 via guillotine. Vovka is now 4-2.

Don Shainis defeated Matt Denning (5-7) @4:50 of Round 1 via strikes to improve to 4-1.

Jordan Young defeated Alec Hooben (5-4) @2:44 of Round 1 via a triangle choke to stay undefeated at 7-0.

Costello van Steenis defeated Steve Skrzat (8-10) @2:52 of Round 1 via submission to improve to 9-1.

Joaquin Buckley defeated Vincius de Jesus (5-2) via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) to improve to 8-1.
