LOS ANGELES – On Friday, July 13, 2018 Julia Budd defended her featherweight world title against Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Talita Nogueira. In the co-main event featured former Bellator world champion Eduardo Dantas who took on Michael McDonald in a bantamweight bout.
Bellator 202: Budd vs. Nogueira took place at the WinStar World Casino and Resort. The main card was broadcasted live and free on Paramount Network.
McDonald scored his most spectacular victory in recent years Friday when he stopped former bantamweight champ Eduardo Dantas by knockout him out in just 58 seconds.
Budd used a leg kick to set up a right hand that dropped Nogueira in the third round as she stopped her via TKO at the 4:07 mark in her second title defense.
