The winner of the first season of Fight Master, Joe Riggs makes his UFC return on UFC on Fox 12 which is rumored to be headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs. Stipe Miocic.

Riggs who was set to fight Paulo Thiago in September was forced out of that fight after he accidently shot himself through his hand and leg. At the time Riggs and his family feared the worst as he slipped out of consciousness. Luckily for Joe he was air lifted to a hospital and he was able to get a lifesaving blood transfusion. The 31 year old Riggs has an amazing 55 fights in his career, even earning a title shot at then UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes, unfortunately for Riggs he missed weight and the title was no longer on the line, which meant little in the long run as Hughes defeated him via submission.

If this fight happens it will be Riggs’s first fight with the UFC in 7 years.

Ben Saunders who was victorious in his UFC return over Chris Heatherly in August at UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. dos Anjos, his hoping to build off the momentum of that win when he faces Riggs in December.
