Brave 7: Untamed fight card updated as new bout is added to prelims
Brave Combat Federation‘s first ever event in Mexico is set to take place on July 29th, in Tijuana, where rivals Alejandro “Pato” Martínez and Fabian “El Aniquilador” Quintanar collide in the main event for a second time following their award-winning battle on The Ultimate Fighter Latin America. Brave officials announced today two changes to the upcoming fight card.
Featherweight Saul “El Prodigio” Cabrera was set to kick things off in the preliminary card against Jaime Florez. However, due to undisclosed reasons, Florez has been scratched from Brave 7: Untamed. His replacement is Tijuana’s own Jose “Trepe” Salazar, who comes in for his first Brave bout with a MMA record of four wins and two defeats.
Also on the preliminary card, an additional bout was put together to further entice the Mexican fans: Eduardo Alvarado will meet Daniel “Lobo” Rincón in a Catchweight contest (140 lbs. or 63,5 kg). “Pube” is set to fight for a second time professionally after winning his mixed martial arts debut. This thime, though, Alvarado will have the local crowd on his side, since he lives and trains in Tijuana with the famed Entram Gym, home of “Pato” Martínez and veteran Antonio “Tigre” Duarte, who will fight on the main card.
Brave 7: Untamed will mark the promotion’s first trip to Mexico. The event will be followed by Brave’s second trip to Brazil two weeks later. On August 12th, Brave lands in Curitiba for Brave8: The Rise of Champions, where the promotion will crown two new champions. Local hero Klidson Faria battles undefeated prospect Timo Feucht for the Light Heavyweight title and Brave’s biggest stars will collide as Lebanon’s Mohammad Fakhreddine and Englishman Carl Booth face off for Brave’s Welterweight World Title. In November, the promotion goes back to Bahrain in great style as Brave rounds off the International Combat Week with a stacked card of its own alongside the IMMAF World Championships
