BREAKING: Johny Hendricks vs. Brennan Ward to Headline WBKFF 1, ‘Rise of the Titans’

WBKFF 1, ‘Rise of the Titans’ has it’s three official main-events, in which the headline will featuring former UFC Welterweight champion, Johny Hendricks and former Bellator MMA superstar Brennan Ward.

Paul Tyler, Vice President and Matchmaker of WBKFF announced the signing of both ‘Bigg Rigg’ and ‘The Irish Bad Boy’, and that they will assist in headlining the promotions first PPV event, along side Leben vs. Baroni and Merriman vs. Bourke.

Johny Hendricks (18-8) is a former Collegiate Wrestling Champion out of Oklahoma State University, and in his more recent years of combat, has become a devastating power striker. Brennan Ward (14-6) is also well known for his striking abilities, winning 9 of his 14 victories by KO/TKO, and overall finishing 13 of his 14 professional MMA wins.

The two will now meet on a whole new playing field, stepping into the WBKFF (World Bare Knuckle Fighting Federation) ring. Both Hendricks and Ward will have the chance to showcase their top level striking under bare knuckle boxing rules and regulations.

Brennan Ward, who was set to step back into the Bellator MMA cage on Oct. 12th, 2018 has now shifted his focus towards boxing, Vice President of WBKFF said. Following an injury that forced Ward out of his up-and-coming fight at Bellator 207, Brennan would retire from MMA, but sign a multi fight deal with the Nov. 9th debuting promotion. Hendricks, who more recently announced his retirement from MMA as well, will make his return, officially coming out of retirement from combat sports to compete at ‘Rise of the Titans’. His last bout was at UFC 217 back in November of 2017.

On Nov. 9th, 2018, WBKFF 1: ‘Rise of the Titans’ will be live on PPV and FITE TV. Featuring Johny Hendricks vs. Brennan Ward, Shawne Merriman vs. Mike Bourke, Chris Leben vs. Phil Baroni, $100,000 Lightweight tournament and much more.
