LOS ANGELES – April 1, 2016 – INSIDE MMA Host and UFC Hall of Famer Bas Rutten didn’t back down when challenged on-air by UFC Fighter Michael Bisping during a satellite interview on tonight’s broadcast. The name-calling exchange was so heated that guest host Ron Kruck, who subbed for Mauro Ranallo, had to step in to quell Rutten’s ire. Was this an April Fool’s Day joke? You be the judge.

Rutten and Kruck reported the breaking news of current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier pulling out of UFC 197 Fight with Jon Jones due to an injury. This news was confirmed by sources close to the show.

Bisping Goes Off On His Future Opponents. UFC Fighter Michael Bisping didn’t mince his words when he was questioned about who he would like to face in his next fight in this lively satellite interview. In his words, Bisping said this about his opponents: “I will get people interested. Everyone else in the division – they’re boring or they can’t speak English or they are taking steroids or are serving suspensions!” Bisping also talked up his recent victory against Silva; why he deserves a title fight; and what he thinks about UFC 200.

INSIDE MMA Correspondent Kenny Rice caught up with UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture in Las Vegas for an in-depth interview that covered a myriad of relevant topics, including MMA free agency, the Ali Act, his resignation and the power of the UFC.   • Main Event – Catchweight Fight – Nah-Shon Burrell (13-6,1 NC) topped Chris Curtis (13-5) via split decision (48-47, 47-48, 49-46) in five rounds.
  • Co-Main Event – Catchweight Fight – Calvin Kattar (15-2) defeated Kenny Foster (11-11) via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28).
  • Catchweight Fight – Matthew Lozano (6-3) edged out Johnny Campbell (11-8,1 NC) via unanimous decision 29-28 on all three scorecards.
  • Lightweight Fight – Leon Davis (8-3,1 NC) was victorious over Lorawnt-T Nelson (7-5) via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 29-28).
  • Light Heavyweight Fight – Anton Berzin (4-1) overtook Matthew Thompson (19-11) via guillotine at 3:32 in round one.
  • Light Heavyweight Fight – Kevin Haley (5-3) beat Steve Skrzat (8-8) via TKO (Punches) at 2:45 in second round.
