Dana White: Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes 2 rescheduled to UFC 179

Last night at the post press conference following UFC on FOX 12 Dana White that Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo vs. Chad Mendes 2 will be reschedule to UFC 179 on October 25th in Rio De Janerio. The Feather weight championship fight was originally set to take place in August in Los Angeles. California however, due to a neck injury that Jose Aldo received.

Jose Aldo (24-1) has been on remarkable 17 fight win streak and has defended his belt 6 times and will be looking for 7th title defense. He has wins over Frankie Edgar, Chan Sung Jung and Ricardo Lamas.
Chad Mendes (16-1) and Jose Aldo first met back in Brazil in 2012 Aldo was able to successful win the title match with KO in the first round. Since then Chad Mendes (16-1) has been on 5 straight win streak beating the likes of Darren Elkins, Clay Guida, Cody McKenzie, Yaotzin Meza and his latest win was against Nik Lentz in December of 2013.
