Former Ultimate Fighter contestant Daron Cruickshank returns to the Octagon for an astounding 5th time in 2014 on December 12th. His opponent is former Elite XC lightweight champion and Strikeforce challenger K.J. Noons.
Cruickshank is one of the more active fighters on the UFC roster appearing in 9 contests (10th being against Noons) since joining the UFC after his turn on the 15th season of The Ultimate Fighter. He has fought his way to a 6-3 record (16-5 overall) with noted wins over Yves Edwards, Erik Koch and Anthony Njokuani.
K.J. Noons is a well-traveled and experienced MMA veteran. Aside from his 20 MMA fights he also has 13 professional boxing matches (11-2) and 14 kickboxing matches (12-2). The battle tested Noons has quite a resume in MMA taking on some of the biggest names and toughest opponents one could hope for including Nick Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Josh Thompson and Donald Cerrone. Noons has a 2-1 UFC record (13-7 overall) which includes a 30 second KO victory over the always game Sam Stout in April of this year at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale: Bisping vs. Kennedy.
