FightBookMMA sat down with John “The Bull” Makdessi ahead of his fight at UFC 214
UTAH (Sun, July 9, 2017)– UFC 214: Cormier vs. Jones 2 will take place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on Saturday July 29, 2017. The main event will air on Pay Per View while the Prelims on Fox Sports 1 and in UFC Fight Pass.
John “The Bull” Makdessi (14-6-0) is a well-rounded fighter. John is from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada fighting out of Montreal, Quebec Canada.
At six years old, John Makdessi began training in Tae Kwon. When he was 17 years old he started training Karate and Kickboxing. He has an impressive record of 22-0 in Kickboxing and winning gold in WKA Karate, an Eastern Canadian Championship in Kickboxing and the USKBA World Championship.
Makdessi made his professional MMA debut in 2008. With a record of 7-0 Makdessi signed with the UFC in 2010. He made his promotional debut on December 11, 2010, at UFC 124. John won his fight in dominant fashion with a decision win over Pat Audinwood. His next bout will be at UFC 214 as he will go against Sage Northcutt.
FightBookMMA’s correspondent Jay Durham sat down with John “The Bull” Makdessi. He talks about his upcoming fight against Sage and about how his training is going.
