Fighter Spotlight: Chris Harris
Mulvane, KS (January 24, 2017)- Bellator MMA will be making its return to Kansas this Friday night at the Kansas Star Arena. The event will be broadcast live and free on SPIKE at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, while preliminary action will stream on FightBookMMA.com, Bellator.com and the Bellator Mobile App.
There will be many young blue chip prospects showcasing their skills on both the Main Card and the Preliminary Card. One of the best the midwest has to offer is budding star Chris Harris who has yet to taste defeat as professional with an 8-0 record two of the wins have come under the Bellator banner. Harris will be opposed by another fighter who has yet to taste defeat at the profession level in Jordan Young (5-0).
I caught up with Chris last night to get his input on his upcoming bout which will be the featured bout on the Prelims that you can watch via the Bellator app. I asked Harris on how his camp has been for this fight?
“Camp has been great! This will be the first time in a while that I’ll be going into a fight without any injury.”
What wrinkles have you added to your game without giving to much of your game plan away?
“I’m still young in this sport. I learn and add new things everyday so there’s not one specific thing.”
Chris you’re apart of a great group at JMTK headed up by Andy Zerger what role has that played for you not only inside of the cage but out of it as well?
“Dustin it’s played a huge role. I’m in a room full of killers everyday and you can either evolve or get beat up everyday. Outside of the cage David Rickels is a great role model. He’s such an amazing person and fighter. I’m truly lucky to have a mentor like him.”
Chris I have to ask you, what will the fans expect come Friday night?
“The same thing as always a guy that puts on a war and leaves it all in the cage.”
Be sure to download the Bellator app to catch Chris and his other teammates that will be on the card.
