GLORY 59 Amsterdam Results and video highlights

On Saturday, Sept. 29, GLORY hosted GLORY 59 Amsterdam, GLORY 59 SuperFight Series, and the GLORY 59 prelims from Johan Cruijff ArenA in the Netherlands.

The four-fight card for GLORY 59 Amsterdam was carried live on ESPN3, with a replay on ESPN2 at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The five-fight card for GLORY 59 SuperFight Series streamed live and exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS. The GLORY 59 prelims streamed live on the GLORY YouTube channel, as well as the GLORY Facebook page, and Pluto TV channel 215.

In the main event, heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven took on Brazilian challenger Guto Inocente. Verhoeven defended his belt seven straight times since winning the title back in 2014. Inocente cane into this fight to dethrone Verhoeven but at the end he couldn’t do it. Rico Verhoeven defeats Guto Inocente via unanimous decision.

In the co-main event, Robin van Roosmalen took on interim champion Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao. This is a rematch from their fight at GLORY 41. Kiatmookao defeats Robin van Roosmalen via unanimous decision and Petchpanomrung claims GLORY featherweight title.

In the night’s SuperFight Series Murthel Groenhart returned to action and took on Mohammed Jaraya. Groenhart defeats Mohammed Jaraya via TKO in Round 2 at the 1:05 mark. Alim Nabiyev was also back in action and faced Eyevan Danenberg. Nabiyev defests Danenberg via split decision.
