The May 7 edition of Golden Boy Promotions‘ successful new series LA FIGHT CLUB will feature the undefeated Manuel “Tino” Avila (16-0, 7 KOs) from Fairfield, California facing off against Rolly Lunas (34-9-1, 20 KOs) in a 10-round super bantamweight bout at The Belasco Theater and televised live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes at 10:00 p.m. ET/ 7:00 p.m. PT.

In the co-main event Mexicali, Mexico’s Diego De La Hoya (9-0, 6 KOs) will compete in an eight-round featherweight bout. Opening up the telecast, Los Angeles native, Oscar Negrete (8-0, 3KOs) will get in the ring for a six-round super bantamweight bout and Los Angeles fan favorite Nick Arce will be featured in a four round featherweight bout hoping to make air time. Also, Los Angeles rising stars, lightweight Jesus Ivan Delgado (4-0-1, 1 KO) and bantamweight newcomer Miguel Alcantara who will make his professional debut, will be featured in separate four-round fights.

Exciting Prospects Added to the Matthysse vs. Provodnikov Non-Televised Undercard on April 18 

The sure-fire “Fight of the Year” candidate between former World Champions Lucas “La Maquina” Matthysse and “The Siberian Rocky” Ruslan Provodnikov, just got more exciting as exciting prospects got added to the non-televised undercard of the split site doubleheader live on HBO Boxing After Dark ® on Saturday, April 18 at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY.

In the non-televised co-main event of the night, exciting undefeated Brazilian prospect Patrick Teixeira will compete in a 10-round super welterweight bout against the hard-punching contenderPatrick Allotey of Accra, Ghana. Next, Tuapse, Russia’s Fedor “Knockout Man” Papazov will fight in an eight-round lightweight match. Washington, D.C.’s standout undefeated fighter,

Lamont Roach Jr. is scheduled to fight in a six-round lightweight fight. VIitor Jones De Olivera of Salvador, Brazil will face Guillermo Sanchez of Buffalo, New York in a six-round lightweight bout. Also, from New York, Eddie “E-Boy” Gomez of the Bronx, is scheduled for a 10-round super welterweight bout against Jonathan Batista of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Opening up the night, Vitaly Kopylenko of Kiev, Ukraine, will take on Lekan “Lucky 13” Byfield of Atlanta, Georgia, in an eight-round middleweight fight.

TV Azteca, known as one of the powerhouses of boxing in Mexico and around the world due to their intensive dedication to spreading the sport to its millions of viewers, has signed an exclusive agreement with Golden Boy Promotions to broadcast Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez’ fights in Mexico.

The historic agreement between Golden Boy Promotions and TV Azteca will begin with the broadcast of the 12-round super welterweight mega-fight between Canelo Alvarez and knockout-artist James “The Mandingo Warrior” Kirkland on May 9, from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. APRIL 2 EDITION OF LA FIGHT CLUB DELIVERS

The second installment of Golden Boy Promotions’ LA FIGHT CLUB on April 2, delivered an electric night of boxing in front of a cheering crowd of spectators. Live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes the night brought out some of Tinseltown’s A-listers. Latin star Kate Del Castillo, KIIS FM’s Ellen K, Extra’s Mario Lopez, MMA royalty Ronda Rousey, television and radio host Jillian Barberie, along with the who’s who of Golden Boy’s stable of fighters, all joined Oscar De La Hoya at the historic The Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

The main event featured East Los Angeles native and boxing legacy Julian “El Camarón” Ramirez (14-0, 8 KOs) who delivered an exciting night as faced off against Casas Grandes, Mexico’s Raul “Bule” Hidalgo (23-13, 17 KOs) in a 10-round featherweight fight. Ramirez’ hard punches, impressive combinations and use of the ropes out-box the seasoned Hidalgo. After 10 exciting rounds, “El Camarón” was victorious winning the bout via unanimous decision.
