Bernard “The Alien” Hopkins will be in attendance to meet and greet with fans at the Special Events Center from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In the evening’s co-main event Santa Ana, Calif. slugger Ronny Rios (23-1, 10 KOs) is scheduled for a 10-round featherweight bout against Mexicali’s Sergio Frias (16-4-2, 8 KOs) and former Irish national championship fighter Jamie “The Nuisance” Kavanagh (17-1-1, 8 KOs) will compete in an eight-round televised lightweight match against Miguel Zamudio (29-6-1, 17 KOs). In the non-televised undercard, the undefeated Abraham Lopez (17-0, 12 KOs) of La Puente, Calif. will risk his perfect record in an eight-round featherweight contest against Mexico’s Juan Carlos “El Pez” Martinez (20-15-1, 7 KOs) and Albert “Baby Dynamite” Herrera (9-10-1, 5 KOs) of Riverside, Calif. will fight in a six-round welterweight brawl against Jose Marrufo (4-2-2).

HBO LATINO® BOXING ON MARCH 12 FEATURED AN EXCITING NIGHT OF FIGHTS AND KNOCKOUTS LIVE FROM THE FREEMAN COLISEUM IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

The NABF and WBO International Junior Lightweight Championship between Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas (22-0-1, 16 KOs) and “Wild” Will Tomlinson (23-2-1, 13 KOs) featured a night full of unbeaten stars and action-packed knockouts, live on HBO Latino Boxing from the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas. In the main event, Vargas and Tomlinson faced off in a bloody match as both fighters suffered lacerations to the face and took hard punches to the body. The fight continued on with excitement in every round, each fighter refusing to give up to the other. In an eighth round technical knockout Vargas retained the NABF and WBO International Junior Lightweight Titles.
