Highlights & Results from ‘AXS TV FIGHTS: RESURRECTION FIGHTING ALLIANCE 33’
Saturday December 12, 2015– AXIS TV FIGHTS wrapped up another exciting year of fights with RESURRECTION FIGHTING ALLIANCE 33 tonight with six finishes in seven fights including knockout punches from Boston Salmon (5-0) and Khalil Rountree (4-0).
RFA 33 saw the RFA do their best Legacy Fights impression delivering 6 finishes in 7 fights! Only the main event went the distance. In that main event, surging Adam Townsend clashed with Orange County’s own Ernest Chavez. The two put on quite a scrap with the hometown guy Chavez getting the split decision victory.
The rest of the card featured finish after finish. Felipe Fogolin finally got his first takedown early in round two of the co-main event and he made the most of it, choking out Joe Merritt to get his eighth submission win. Impressive bantamweight prospect Boston Salmon got himself another finish. Salmon knocked out Keith Carson early in Round 3 to stay undefeated. “Sauvecito” Jose Diaz was impressive in his RFA debut. Diaz took out undefeated Anthony Hernandez with a nasty kneebar to improve to 6-1. Finally, Anderson Silva protégé Khalil Rountree kept the hype train rolling with a vicious knockout of Justin Polendey.
