History Made & Records Broken at BAMMA 25
Tuesday May 17, 2016— BAMMA’s French Phenom Tom ‘Firekid’ DuQuesnoy once again stunned the global viewing audience with his standout performance at BAMMA 25.
In front of the thousands in attendance, Duquesnoy knocked out reigning BAMMA Bantamweight Champion Shay Walsh in just 1:15 of the first round with a stunning elbow. In the process, DuQuesnoy made BAMMA history by becoming the first ever two weight division champion in the promotion.
Jackson Wink head Coach and DuQuesnoy’s trainer declared DuQuesnoy as “A special, special talent that comes along once in a lifetime” and the world is now agreeing. DuQuesnoy’s next bout is going to be announced in the coming weeks and you can be sure that the world will be tuning in to see what comes next from the Firekid.
It was a night of non stop action, entertainment and knockouts as BAMMA 25 left fans with a host of unforgettable memories. Here are some of the highlights:
BAMMA Lonsdale Lightweight Champion Marc ‘Bonecrusher’ Diakiese makes another serious statement with his lightning fast KO of Kane ‘The Danger’ Mousah
BAMMA newcomer Ronny ‘Iron’ Mann moved back up to Featherweight and put out a high alert to the division with his crushing KO of Graham ‘Afterburner’ Turner.

Elsewhere, BAMMA fan favourite Brett ‘The Spartan’ McDermott didn’t disappoint the crowd in attendance with another entertaining encounter. Opponent Jamie Sloane managed to weather the initial onslaught, but eventually succumbed to McDermott’s patented Nuclear Missile of a right hand to end the bout at 3:58 of the 1st Round.
There is no doubt that BAMMA 25 had something for everyone – titles changing hands, history being made, submissions and KO’s galore and even 3 DQ’s went into the mix.
