Hard Knocks Fighting Championship Announced HK43 Fight Card

HK43 features former UFC fighter, Nick Ring and two professional title fights including

Misha Cirkunov defending his Light Heavyweight title.

(Toronto, April 22, 2015) – HK43 fight event broadcasts live from Calgary’s WinSport Complex on the Fight Network, Friday May 22 at 11 PM EST / 9 PM MST /  8 PM PST. Tickets for the live event are available at www.hkfc.tv.

HK43 features two professional title fights and former UFC fighter, Nick “The Promise” Ring.

The main card for HK43 broadcasts in Canada on The Fight Network (http://tv.fightnetwork.com) and in the U.S. Comcast and Time Warner (www.indemand.com). The main card features two hours of live mixed martial arts action starting at 11 PM eastern.

The full fight card for HK43 is available exclusively on pay-per-view starting at 8:30 PM eastern time from Hard Knocks at www.hkfc.tv and on iPhone/iPad and Android in the HKFC MMA app (iOS goo.gl/q0pNhv and Android  goo.gl/yFPPE6)

Main Event

Headlining the night will be UFC veteran Nick “The Promise” Ring (13-3) fighting against Montana native Jason “The Savage” Zentgraf (7-2). Nick, has fought in seven UFC events including UFC Fight Night 33, UFC 158, UFC 149, UFC 135, UFC 131 and UFC 127.

Nick is well rounded in his wins, he has won via armbar, chokes, punches, strikes and going the distance winning by unanimous decision.  Jason is no stranger to the cage having fought three times for MFC (Maximum Fighting Championship) and KOTC (King Of The Cage). Jason has won all of the bouts by submissions – mostly via choke.

“Its been awhile since I have fought in front of a home crowd,” said Nick Ring, former UFC fighter. “I’m looking forward to stepping into the Hard Knocks cage to dominate Jason “The Savage” Zentgraf.”

Light Heavyweight Title Fight

The Light Heavyweight title fight includes the current, Latvian born, Hard Knocks Light Heavyweight Champion and UFC hopeful Misha Cirkunov (8-2) fighting against Ohio born Bellator and Turf Wars veteran Shaun “The Bully” Asher (9-1-1).

Misha Cirkunov, is looking to defend his belt and bring it back home to Toronto.

“My last fight with Hard Knocks was a win and I was thrilled to take home the Title,” says Misha Cirkunov. “Shaun Asher is also coming off wins as well – this is going to be war.”

Shaun Asher is currently coming off a four fight winning streak which has now put him first in both the Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight divisions in Kentucky.
