Plus, Interview with Demetrious Johnson, John Dodson, Robbie Lawler and Lyoto Machida

LOS ANGELES – Aug. 22, 2015 – Following the UFC’s announcement yesterday that Holly Holm will be the next challenger to fight Ronda Rousey for the UFC bantamweight title, Holm gave AXS TV’s INSIDE MMA an exclusive statement reacting to the news before jumping on a flight tonight:

Said Holm:

“I’m so excited about the announcement today. It was definitely unexpected. I was supposed to fight Sarah Kaufman… which is my friend and teammate, so this is definitely a turn of events. It’s something totally new and I just want to make the most of it. I’m so excited and I love when a challenge is thrown at me… I really wanna jump in. It just makes it exciting. I feel like I’m feeling life and I’m just so happy.”

Also on the show, UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger John Dodson each joined to discuss their headlining title fight rematch at UFC 191 Sep. 5 with series hosts Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten.

Meanwhile Dodson, who was joined by his coach Brandon Gibson, weighed in on his improvements as a fighter since he first fought Johnson in 2013 and shared his thoughts on the flyweight champion’s personality.
