INJURY TO PAIGE VANZANT MOVES UFC DEBUT FROM HALIFAX TO UFC FIGHT NIGHT 57 IN AUSTIN
UFC officials announced Tuesday that the debut fight for the two UFC newcomers to the straw weight division has now been rescheduled, due to an injury to Page VanZant (3-1 MMA 0-0 UFC) against undefeated Kailin Curran (3-0 MMA 0-0 UFC). The match was originally set to face in Halifax but now will be moved 6 weeks to UFC Fight Night 57 takes place at Frank Erwin Center on the campus of the University of Texas in Austin on November 22nd, the event is expected to air on FOX Sports 1 with prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
The 20 year old Page VanZant who was too young for a planned spot on the upcoming 20th season of “The Ultimate Fighter” she has had 3 wins since she started her pro career in 2012, with her only loss being to Tecia Torres in Invicta banner. The 23 year old Kailin Curran has racked up 3 decision wins with the Pacific Xtreme Combat promotion since she started her pro career in 2013.
