With UFC President Dana White in attendance, Resurrection Fighting Alliance put on one of its most exciting shows ever as RFA 37 delivering six stunning finishes capped off by two hard-hitting title fights with bantamweight Leandro Higo (16-2) and light heavyweight Devin Clark (6-0) winning RFA gold.
The Resurrection Fighting Alliance was back in Sioux Falls Friday night and with Dana White in the house, the main card fighters put on a show! Both the light heavyweight and bantamweight titles were on the line at RFA 37. The main event featured undefeated fighters Rafael Viana and Devin Clark for the inaugural light heavyweight title. The two pushed the pace early with Clark landing big shots and getting takedowns and in the second round Viana suffered an injury to his middle finger. The Brazilian survived the round, but was unable to continue, meaning Clark is the champ and he was able to do it in front of his hometown crowd.
In the co-main event, Leandro Higo and Joey Miolla met for the bantamweight title. Both fighters were riding lengthy win streaks and the action started fast and furious. In order to defend an armbar, Miolla slammed Higo to the canvas dazing him momentarily. Higo weathered the storm and was able to choke Miolla unconscious with a first round rear-naked choke.
The four fights leading up to the title fights delivered brutal stoppage after brutal stoppage! Joe Gigliotti,Logan Storley, AND Matthew Lopez were all able kept their undefeated records intact. Gigliotti and Lopez earned submission wins and Storley delivered a second-round TKO. In the opening fight of the night, Brian Camozzi won with a highlight reel knockout with his knee.
Full highlights are available here with AXS TV FIGHTS commentators Pat Miletich and “The Voice” Michael Schiavello breaking down the action:
