UFC 184 will be held on February 28th,2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. The main event features Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman defending his belt for a third time as he faces number one contender Vitor Belfort. Just added to the card, #2 Middleweight Jacare Souza will go one on one with #6 ranked Yoel Romero.

Ever since being brought to the UFC in 2013, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza (21-3-1) 4-0 in UFC has looked unstoppable. He is on a seven fight win streak and is undefeated in the UFC. He is the former Strikeforce Middleweight champion and a Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion. What we are seeing with Souza since his time in the UFC is that is striking is improving with each fight. He is not just a world class grappler anymore, he is putting all of the tools together and if he can keep up with the victories he may be fighting for a world title in 2015. His last fight was a very impressive submission win over Gegard Mousasi and he will be looking for another impressive statement at UFC 184.

His opponent may be his hardest challenge yet. Yoel ” Soldier Of God” Romero (9-1) 5-0 in UFC is also undefeated in his UFC career. Out of those five wins, four are by way of KO/TKO, also arriving to the UFC in 2013 Romero has showed true knockout power and a wrestling background unlike anyone else in the octagon. His last victory was a very hard fought TKO victory over Tim Kennedy and he will try and prove on February 28th that his last win was not a fluke and that he is ready for a championship fight.
