RIO RANCHO, NM (Mon, December 4, 2017)– JACKSONWINK FIGHT NIGHT 2: Domacio “The Angel of Death” Page vs. Jesus “The Honey Badger” Urbina took place at Isleta Resort & Casino – The Showroom on December 1, 2017.
This event had 4 amateur fights and 6 professional fights. Below you will find the official results and recap of the event. You will also find the full fight video of Diego Sanchez vs Isaac Marquez.
Jackson Wink MMA held an event for all the fight fans here in Albuquerque, NM and its surrounding areas and fight fans were not disappointed. This event was jammed packed with fans and these warriors came to put on a show and they did just that.
In the main event, Domacio “The Angel of Death” Page from Albuqurque, NM training out of Jackson-Wink MMA took on Jesus “The Honey Badger” Urbina from El Paso, TX training out of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu El Paso. This fight was a quick fight as both fighters came in to the center of cage wanting to knockout one another. They started to connect with blows until Domacio connects with one of his punches and drops Jesus to the mat. Domacio took advantage and took his back and sinks in the rear naked choke until Jesus taps.
In the co-main event of the night, Harvey Park from Clovis, NM training out of Force of One went against Majdeddine-Ayadi from Paris, France training out of Jackson Wink MMA. This was another fight that ended in the first round. Both fighters started off by both trading blows and clinching for position. During the round, Majdeddine looks like he was taking control of the fight always coming in forward until Harvey takes him down gets into position and was able finish the fight with a rear naked choke.
Next up was Cody East from Los Lunas, NM training out of JacksonWink MMA & Elite Fitness took on Tony Lopez from Ontario, CA training out of Planet Krypton. This fight was the only fight that if you were in the from row you were probably gong to get splattered by blood. In the first round both fighters started feeling each other out as they connected with punches and kicks until both fighters shin connected and that’s when Tony’s shin opened up with blood pouring out but that did not faze Tony at all. Coming in to the second and third round was pretty much the same as round one. During the third round Tony looked more of the aggressor trying to finish Cody. The judges saw this fight the same with Cody winning by unanimous decision.
The next fight on the card was Wilfredo Santiago from Albuquerque, NM took on Omar Acosta from Clovis, NM fighting out of Force of One. If you blinked you missed it. This fight started off as both fighters started feeling each other out until Wilfredo connects with a punch and drops Omar to the mat. Wilfredo started rushing to Omar to finish the fight but the ref stepped in and waived the fight at the :19 mark.
Next up was Maurice Jackson from Albuquerque, NM fighting out of Jackson Wink MMA took on Andrew Kapel from Denver, Co. Another fight that ended in the first round as both fighters ended up in the clinch until Andrew took Maurice down and was able to finish the fight by submission via rear naked choke.
Making his long-awaited Pro debut Chris Brown from Albuquerque, NM fighting out of Jackson Wink MMA went against Brandon Trujillo from Albuquerque, NM. Both fighters take the center of the cage until Brown scored a knock down with an overhand right Chris gets on top of him until they stand on their feet. Chris again connects with a with a straight left and that’s when Brown jumped on the opportunity and was able to get Brandon’s back and finished the fight with a rear naked choke.
Up next was a featured fight of the night. UFC fighter Diego Sanchez from Albuquerque, NM took on Isaac “The Shermanator” Marquez. This fight was the fight that the everyone wanted to see. The crowed was on their feet cheering on Isaac as he walked down the ramp to get ready to go to war with Diego. Both fighters came in ready and Isaac looked like this was not the first time he was facing such a dangerous opponent. You can watch this fight below this video says it all!

The next fights were the amateur fights and let me tell you these fighters brought it like any pro fighter would!
In the main event, Ray Vaiza from Socorro, NM fighting out of Team Damage took on Vic Masayesva from Moriarty, NM as an independent fighter. In the first round, both fighters started trading blows and at one point Ray had Vic on the mat trying to sink in the rear naked choke until Vic had Rays back. They end up standing a Vic again taking Ray down as they try to get the position until the bell rings. Round two starts and they end up on the mat Vic was able to mount Ray and started dropping bombs and vicious knees to the body until the ref saw enough and stopped the fight.
In the co-main event, Calob Ramirez from Rio Rancho, NM fighting out of Lutrell’s took on Dakota Munro from Carlsbad, NM. Both fighters started off in the clinch trying to take one another down for position. Caleb was able to take Dakota down to the mat they scramble and stand up and again they end up on the mat and Calob was able to get position and takes his back and was able to sink in the rear naked choke.
Next up was Daniel Nieto from Albuquerque, NM fighting out of Jackson Wink MMA took on Ozzy Chavez from Albuquerque, NM fighting out of Judgment MMA & Fitness. Both fighters come in quick and started trading blows, they end up in the clinch and separate and Ozzy was able to connect with one of his punches and drops Daniel to the point that the ref had to stop the fight in the very first round.
Starting off the night was Alex Jones from Farmington, NM fighting out of Zia Fight Club went against Ricky Maynez from El Paso, TX. In the first round both fighters started feeling each other out until they end up in the clinch util Ricky was able to take down Alex to the mat. Ricky started dropping bombs until Alex was able to scramble and take control. They end up on their feet until Alex was able to pick up Ricky and slams him to the mat and again they end up on their feet until the bell rang. Rounds two and three were pretty much the same as both fighters started trading blows taking each other down to the mat. Both fighters had control of the fight as both fighters were looking to end the fight. In the end the judges gave the win to Ricky by split decision.
