JESSICA EYE SET TO FACE LESLIE SMITH IN MEXICO

UFC officials have just announced that Jessica Eye (10-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Leslie Smith (7-5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) are now booked. The women’s Batamweight’s are set to collide at UFC 180 taking place November 15th at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City.

UFC 180 will feature a Heavyweight main event between Champion Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum, airing on PPV prior to prelims on Fight Pass and Fox Sports 1.

Jessica Eye will be looking to make her first successful win in the UFC. Eye is coming off to a split decision loss Alexis Davis at UFC 170, prior to that she picked up a split decision win over Sarah Kaufman however, it was changed to no-contest after Eye failed a drug test for marijuana.

Leslie Smith debuted back in April at UFC Fight Night – Bisping vs. Kennedy but, she suffered a loss to unanimous decision loss to Kaufman. However, she has since came back and rained victorious with a TKO midway through the first round stopping Jessamyn Duke at UFC Fight Night 45.
