Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Rose Namajunas confirmed for UFC 217

NEW YORK (Tue, September 12, 2017)– UFC 217: Michael Bisping vs. Georges St-Pierre takes place Nov. 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The main card airs on pay-per-view while the prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event we will see middleweight champion Michael Bisping defend his belt against Georges St-Pierre. The second title fight will be Cody Garbrandt who will meet T.J. Dillashaw for the bantamweight title. And just announced, fight fans will now see a third championship fight as UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her title against Rose Namajunas.

If Jedrzejczyk defends her belt, this will break Ronda Rousey’s record for most title defenses by a female. Joanna is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jessica Andrade at UFC 211. Namajunas is coming off a submission win over Michelle Waterson at a UFC on Fox back in April.
