John Cena Sidelined From Shoulder Surgery

Thursday January 7, 2016 Some bad news came out of the WWE today, as 15 time WWE champion John Cena announces on Twitter @JohnCena Rather upside down start to 2016 as tomorrow I will head to Birmingham for shoulder surgery. Life’s full of set backs but #nevergiveupto. It appears to the injury is a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder, with only being back with the company for a couple of weeks the Cenation leader has only wrestled a handful of matches including his rematch For the US title against Alberto Del Rio on Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago. John Cena being in he shelf now doesn’t help the WWE in any way as the list of injures grows, Randy Orton (Shoulder), Seth Rollins (Knee), Cessaro (Shoulder) are all sidelined and with the Biggest event of the year just around the corner Vince McMahon and the rest of the creative team will have to dig deep to put on the biggest mania yet.

Cena was already off tv and away from the road since October to heal up some nagging be injuries and to film a new tv series coming up on the Fox networks. The time-table for his return is 6-9 months, but as everyone who knows Cena knows that he is a superman and heals a lot faster than others do. With past injuries ranging from a torn triceps to a torn pectoral, Cena has only missed a little time away from the company. Some might say with the 15 time champ getting up in age and the fact that younger superstars are getting strong pushes that WWE might not push Cena so he can receive a full recovery.

A lot of reports were speculating that Cena would win the Royal Rumble, and possibly go on to face the current champion Romain Reigns in the main event of Wrestlemania. Then with the announcement that this years Royal Rumble will be for the WWE title, a lot thought that Cena would win and capture his 16th world title. I am I big fan of John and watching him his whole career including every title reign, it would be a true joy to see him tie the record of the great Ric Flair. Only time will tell now, as we all wait to see how long the Cenation leader is out for and how the shoulder will respond when he gets back. I know that the hardest working superstar in the WWE will come back better than ever, and possibly not just have one title run to tie the record, but maybe even a 17th title run to set the record for most world titles won by a single superstar. We at FightbookMMA.com wish John a speedy recovery, and we can wait to see him back in action
