King Mo is Prime for Tournament
Tuesday November 10, 2015– After speaking with King Mo FightbookMMA.com learned that he is fully healthy, and is prime for his return to the octagon for the New Year’s Eve tournament in Japan. After sustaining an injury at Bellator MMA Dynamite 1 back in September, Mo was forced out of the tournament finals for a shot to become the number one contender for the light heavyweight title.
When I asked how the injury is coming along he said:
“I’m all cleared and been back training for about a week now.”
After sitting out for 5 weeks to heal up, Mo had resumed his training back at the home of American Top Team in Coconut Creek Florida. Mo’s focus is on winning this tournament, but still in the back of his mind is getting another shot at the title. The tournament is a 8 man tournament with two rounds of 10 & 5 minutes, two fights on the first day and the finals will take place two days on the 31st of December. After the Tournament is over Mo said he will decide on what’s next for him in the Bellator Octagon.
When I asked him if training will be any different fighting in another country he said:
“I’ve been to Japan 6 times already, training is no problem I just have to get used to the time change and I’ll be good.”
A Very confident Mo could mean nothing bad things for the competition, a win at this tournament will hopefully open the eyes of the Bellator Matchmakers and line Mo up for the winner of McGeary vs. Davis.
