Klidson becomes the first Brazilian champion to defend the title

Klidson Farias de Abreu became the first champion from Brazil to successfully defend the championship. He faced Light Heavyweight contender Matt Baker from Canada at the eleventh edition of Brave Combat Federation hosted in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The bout opened with both fighters going back and forth with strikes until Klidson successfully took down the Canadian brawler.

During the ground game, Klidson locked Baker in a submission to which the Canadian athlete was forced to give up. The fight ended in the very first round declaring de Abreu the reigning champion. He also became the first Brazilian to defend the championship. Elias Boudegzdame is the first champion in Brave Combat Federation to defend a championship when he defended his championship and retained it against Jakub Kowalewicz from Poland during Brave 9 hosted in Amman, Jordan.
