Lazzez explains how martial arts changed his life
Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzez became the major signing made by Brave Combat Federation from the Middle East in 2018. The undefeated fighter from Tunisia is set to make his promotional debut at Brave 16 hosted in the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 21st September. Lazzez will be putting his undefeated streak on the line against yet another undefeated fighter at Brave 16. Dmitrijs Homjakovs is hailed as the latest talent from Sweden who signed with Brave Combat Federation alongside Guram Kutateladze. Dmitrijs is currently 4-0-0 against 6-0-0 by Mounir.
Lazzez had stated that martial arts had been his passion and had transformed his life and he is undeterred regarding the odds of placing his undefeated professional record on the line. The fight marks the first for the fighter who competes in the lightweight division dominated by talent including Ottman Azaitar, Eldar Eldarov, Lucas Martins, Luan Santiago and Abdul Kareem Al Selwady. Lazzez took time to reflect upon his journey as a martial artist.
“I started martial arts when I was a small kid back in the day in Tunisia. I was there in the school as the tall skinny guy, not confident. And my parents put me in the martial arts school to pick up my confidence and here we are today. Fight for me is passion and I love to compete. It became a routine that I cannot exist without. So I want to test myself in the highest level that is possible. This is the best opportunity for me to compete in Abu Dhabi which is my second home”, said The Sniper.
