In one of the most anticipated clashes in promotional history, Brave stars Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady and Lucas Mineiro will face off in the main event of Brave 18, set for the Khalifa Sports City, in Isa Town, Bahrain, on November 16th. The undisputed lightweight title will be on the line, with interim champ Mineiro looking to unify both belts.
The lightweight belt is just one of three titles that will be contested on the historic event. Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman goes for his second title defense against top contender Felipe Efrain, while flyweight stars Marcel Adur and Velimurad Alkhasov face off for the inaugural title at 57 kg.
Lucas Mineiro became interim champion last april as he weathered the Luan “Miau” Santiago storm and got a TKO victory in the dying seconds of their Brave 11 main event. It was his second Brave victory.
Al-Selwady, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since Brave 10, when he beat Charlie Leary by decision. It was his fourth promotional win, after taking care of business against Erick “Índio Brabo”, Michael Deiga-Scheck and Rami Aziz.
Aside from three title fights, Brave 18 will also feature the return of Cian Cowley, Conor McGregor’s teammate at SBG Ireland. “The Warrior” takes on Hardeep Rai in a catchweight bout of 73 kg.
