Nawras Abzakh replaces Quero against Felipe Efrain at Brave 9

After Arnold Quero was forced to withdraw from his Brave debut due to undisclosed reasons, promotional officials announced that undefeated prospect Nawras Abzakh will take his place against Felipe Efrain on the preliminary card of Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions, set for the Khalifa Sports City Arena, on November 17th.

Fighting out of Amann, Jordan, “The Honey Badger” will make his Brave debut on short notice and brings with him an undefeated record of six wins in six bouts, including a victory over current Brave Bantamweight Jalal Al Daaja, who meets Jeremy Pacatiw on the same day. Abzakh hasn’t fought since beating Brazil’s Aldir Junior in December of last year.

And he will have another Brazilian to deal with on November 17th. Felipe Efrain, who trains out of the famed Chute Boxe gym with the likes of Brave title challenger Lucas “Mineiro” Martins and Thomas Almeida, will look for his second promotional win after debuting with a sensational body shot KO of UFC veteran Walel Watson.

Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions marks the promotion’s return to Bahrain after a year. During 2017, the organization has put on groundbreaking events in countries such as Brazil (twice), Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, India, and Kazakhstan. Brave 9 will be the culmination of the International Combat Week, alongside the IMMAF World Championships, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
