Nick Diaz has been charged with Domestic Battery

Speaking with officer Jay Rivera and the media office of the LVMPD, FightbookMMA.com has confirmed that a Nickolas R Diaz was arrested on Thursday May 24, 2018 at approximately 7pm.  

Nickolas R Diaz has been charged with Domestic Battery 1st, a misdemeanor, and Felony Domestic Battery by Strangulation.  Bail has been set at $18,000.  Diaz will not be eligible for release until after Saturday May 26, 2018 at 9:00am PDT.  

12 Units were dispatched to the scene and Diaz was allegedly hostile and combative with the officers.  No video of the confrontation between Diaz and the LVMPD has been released at this time.  

Diaz has not fought since his No-Contest matchup against Anderson Silva at UFC 183.  Diaz had become eligible to fight again on April 19, 2018, following his suspension for missing a drug test appearance 3 times in a 12 month span.

Update:

It has been confirmed via the online public information portal of the Clark County Detention Center that Nickolas Diaz is no longer in custody.
