Rashad Evans vs. Glover Teixeira Have Verbally Agreed To Fight At UFC Fight Night In Porto Alegre, Brazil

Reported by Ivan Raupp of Globo, a big fight has been announced, and its in regards to light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans. Rashad Evans and Glover Teixeira have verbal agreements in place to fight in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Porto Alegre, Brazil on Sunday, February 22nd. The UFC has not formally announced the bout.
Evans (19-3-1) was scheduled to fight Daniel Cormier last February but a torn ACL sidelined him for the remainder of 2014. Evans was was also scheduled to fight Alexander Gustafsson in Sweden, Evans was unable to go for the January 24th event so in turn that fight went to Anthony Johnson.
Teixeira (22-4) has lost two straight after a 20 fight winning streak going back as far as 2006. Teixeira lost in his title fight against Jon Jones and then with a decision loss against Phil Davis at UFC 179 in Rio de Janeiro.
