Rising star Cleiton ‘Predator’ lashes out at Brave champ Azaitar

Cleiton “Predator” Silva got his second promotional win in spectacular fashion at last week’s Brave 15, when he secured a rear-naked choke on Marcelo Bustos, in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Now 2-0 under the Brave Combat Federation banner, the brazilian lightweight had harsh words for divisional champion Ottman Azaitar.

“Predator” was enraged when speaking about Azaitar and called on the champion to “defend his title or vacate it” and claimed “The Bulldozer” was scared of the challenges ahead of him. In a video released on his Instagram page, Cleiton guaranteed that he was on the verge of fighting for the title himself and wanted to make sure the title was up for grabs.

“I’m doing this video to talk about the lightweight champion, whose name I don’t even know. He has to defend the fucking belt. He’s running and I know it. He was supposed to fight “Miau” and he ran. The same thing happened with “Mineiro” to unify the belts. Stop being a chicken, I’m getting there and I want to make sure everyone knows I’m coming for that belt. Defend or vacate!”, claimed Silva.

After beating Bustos in Colombia, Cleiton claimed he wanted to fight in Brave South Africa, set for December, and furthered his claims by saying he hopes for a number one contender’s bout next.

“I want to take on a tough guy in my next bout, someone who can get me closer to my goal of being the Brave champion. Azaitar has been holding up the division for too long, it’s time to do something about it and I will. Brave is not a place to sit down and do whatever, we have to always be proving ourselves and throwing down”, says “Predator”.
