LOS ANGELES (March 17, 2016) – Fans are guaranteed to see action in the ring on March 25 with a stacked card of newly announced undercard fights for the Antonio Orozco vs. Miguel Acosta event on Friday, March 25 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino and live Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV.
Former undisputed world heavyweight champion James “Buster” Douglas will also be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. inside the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center on March 25. The meet-and-greet is open to the public with the purchase of a ticket to the event.
In the televised co-main event, freshly signed Golden Boy Promotions fighter Andrew “El Chango” Cancio (16-3-2, 12 KOs) of Blythe, Calif. will fight in a 10-round featherweight fight against newly announced opponent former two divisions world champion Hugo “El Incredible” Cazares (40-8-2, 27 KOs) of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Part of the non-televised card but streaming live on Ring TV, Irish knockout artist Jason “El Animal” Quigley (9-0, 8 KOs) will return to the ring for an eight-round middleweight bout against Cleveland, Ohio’s Dante “The Phenom” Moore (9-1-2, 4 KOs). Also featured as part of the Ring TV live stream, previously announced, undefeated top prospects will round out the remainder of the card. St. Louis, Mo.’s undefeated welterweight KeAndre “The Truth” Gibson (14-0-1, 6 KOs) will fight in an eight-round welterweight bout against Chaquib Fadli (13-6, 7 KOs) of Miami, Florida; Emilio Sanchez (11-0, 8 KOs) of Pacoima, Calif. will participate in an eight-round featherweight bout against an opponent to be named soon; and, Indio, Calif.’s Marco Magdaleno (2-0, 1 KOs) will be engaged in a four-round super lightweight event against an opponent yet to be named. Opening up the night will be Jon Jon Dinong (1-0, 1 KO) of Los Angeles taking on Jared Teer (2-5) of Olympia, WA for a four-round welterweight bout.
Hugo “El Incredible” Cazares is returning to the ring on March 25 after taking nearly two years off following a knockout defeat at the hands of Carl Frampton. Cazares has claimed several championship titles since making his debut in July 1997 and has fought 40 bouts since then. In January 2013, Cazares claimed the WBC International Silver Super Bantamweight Championship title after securing a win over Rey Perez. He successfully defended the title twice, against Gabriel Altarejos and Julio Cesar Miranda, respectively. Years prior, Cazares also claimed and defended the WBO NABO Light Flyweight Title, WBO World Light Flyweight Title, and the WBA World Super Flyweight Title.
Originally from Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dome, France, Chaquib Fadli now represents Miami as a super lightweight fighter bringing seven knockouts under his belt. Since turning professional in 2008, this three time winner of the France Super Lightweight Title will have his second fight on American soil of his career against Gibson come March 25th in an eight-round welterweight clash.
Cleveland, Ohio’s Dante “The Phenom” Moore will be stepping back in to the ring after a 2-year hiatus following his victory over experienced boxer Marlon “Trouble Man” Thomas, former IBA Super Lightweight, WBO NABO Super Lightweight, and IBC Super Lightweight title champion. This 26-year-old fighter has been one fighter not to mess with, with his epic takedowns over Nathan Kempa, Silas Ortley, Vince Burkhalter, Troy Nelson, and William Woods at the start of his career.
Jared Teer made his professional debut in November 2013 with a win by unanimous decision on his hometown turf in Washington at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma. Since then, Teer has ventured outside his state lines to fight including an undercard bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against Fabian Andres Maidana on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana II on Sept. 13, 2014. After a spat of losses, Teer is determined to prove he is still in the game with a win over newly-turned pro boxer Jon Jon Dinong, who will be making his second appearance of his career on March 25.
Tickets for the event are on sale now and are priced at $45, $35, $25 and can be purchased at the Fantasy Springs Box Office, by calling (800) 827-2946 or online at www.fantasyspringsresort.com.
