After Miesha’s win over internet darling Rin Nakai, Sara McMann made it known she would like to fight the former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
Many people (including myself) gave “Cupcake” little chance to beat Nakai. Then the fight happened and Tate outclassed Nakai. Good timing with her strikes, strong clinch game and excellent takedown defense by Miesha earned her a pretty easy one sided victory over the UFC debuting Japanese juggernaut.
McMann, who earned a questionable win over the UFC debuting Lauren Murphy, many (including myself) felt Murphy won the fight with strong and constant strikes from the bottom which kept McMann from employing her own game plan on the ground.
Since these two former title challengers want some business with each other, will it happen? We shall see.
As always we will keep you up to date as this develops.
