Tetsuya Yamato Wins Super Lightweight Title with First Round TKO on ‘AXS TV FIGHTS: LION FIGHT 21’

Saturday March 28th, 2015– On AXS TV FIGHTS: LION FIGHT 21, Tetsuya Yamato won the LION FIGHT super lightweight title with a first round TKO over reigning champion Kevin Ross (30-9), while former LION FIGHT featherweight champion Tiffany Van Soest (11-2-1) defeated Chajmaa Bellakhal (44-11-2). Main Event – Super Lightweight Title Fight –Tetsuya Yamato (34-11) defeated Kevin Ross (30-9) via TKO at 2:43 in round one.

Featherweight fight – Tiffany Van Soest (13-2-1) defeated Chajmaa Bellakhal (44-11-2) via decision (unanimous) (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).

Welterweight fight – Malaipet Sasiprapa (146-29-6) defeated Ben Yelle (23-17-1) via decision (unanimous) (50-46, 49-46, 49-46).

Featherweight fight – Victor Saravia (3-0) defeated Sam Poulton (2-2) via decision (unanimous) (50-45, 50-44, 50-45).

Middleweight – Josh Shepard (4-1) defeated Jose Lopez (5-4) via knockout at 1:33 in round one.

Welterweight – Nick Chasteen (4-1) defeated Tony Fausto (0-1) via TKO at 2:19 in round four.
