Sunday March 6, 2016— With Miesha Tate pulling out a victory at UFC 196, Ronda Rousey rematch seems m to be on everyone’s mind. The question of a trilogy fight between the new UFC Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey seems like a no brainier, but is it the right move for the division?
So how would the UFC use this to make the women’s bantamweight division more exciting? Put the division center stage at an upcoming UFC PPV with Miesha Tate defending her title against “Alfa” Cat Zingano, while Ronda Rousey attempts to avenge her loss to Holly Holm setting up yet another Women’s Bantamweight title fight. If at that point it ends up being Tate/Rousey III, MMA fans might be more inclined to watch because the fight will have been warranted.
