Titles and Pro Contracts On The Line At Real MMA
LAS VEGAS (Sun, April 23, 2017)– Real Mixed Martial Arts took place on Friday April 21, 2017. FightBookMMA’s correspondent Serena “SouthPaw” DeJesus attended the event. Below you will find the recap and official results.
Real Mixed Martial Arts was back in Las Vegas at Sam’s Town Casino for their fourteenth show last night to highlight the local amateur talent that Las Vegas the surrounding area, and the rest of the nation has to offer.
Fighters from California, New Mexico, Las Vegas, Nebraska and even Florida arrived to prove themselves.
MMA and Muay Thai fans alike witnessed 12 action packed bouts that did not disappoint as Real MMA awarded KO of the Night, Submission of the Night and Fight of the Night.
An added twist was in the mix for the ladies this time around, as Invicta Fighting Championships partnered with Real MMA. The winner of the flyweight tournament will be awarded a pro contract to fight for the all female pro promotion.
The first round of the tournament included Cheyenne “The Hawaiian Wrecking Machine” Hinsey (2-3) who hails from Las Vegas Krav Maga and Amanda Jones (5-4) who is from Dynamic MMA in Santa Monica California.
The winner of this fight was advanced to the next round of the tournament that will be held on the next Real MMA card and continue to fight for their spot in the Invicta flyweight division.
In the prelims Joesph Chavez vs Joesph Tapia made their debut at 130 lbs

Gianni Thomas and Ruben Castillo at 135 lbs also made their debut (Muay Thai)

Muhammad Naimov (2-1) and Denis Alttis (0-2) threw down at the 150 lbs weight class (MMA)

Jared Velari of Cobra Kai and Oscar Velasco of Ruthless Fighting Team fought in their debut at 130 lbs (Muay Thai)

Keegan Blaco (4-1) vs Jesse Tafoya (4-3) at the 125 lbs division
Results: Jesse Tafoya Submission (Rear Naked Choke) RD 1 0:29
Victor Torres and Cameron Cooper made their debut tonight at 155 lbs (Muay Thai)
Results: Cameron Cooper TKO RD 1 0:50
Ajai Smith (9-5) vs Chris Rios (5-2) at 155 lbs (Muay Thai)
Results: Chris Rios via Split Decision
Mike Hernandez (1-2) against Shaun Paytress (4-3) at 145 lbs

The first fight of the female flyweight tournament featured Cheyenne Hinsey and Amanda Jones squaring off for a chance to advance towards the Invicta FC contract.

And the final fight of the prelims included Ray Ostrander (2-3) and Aisamme Aviso (1-0) at 155 lbs

Real MMA’s title fights mesmerized fans as Rudy Garcia (5-3) and Oscar Sanchez (7-2) squared off for the 125 pound belt

Last fight of the evening was Jessy Torres (11-3) and Jerrod Perry at the 185 weight division (4-1)
