Tournament Of Champions At DSF Kickboxing Challenge: FORTRESS! Piotr Strus Of ACB Headlines against Brice Kombou

DSF Kickboxing Challenge is back on March 9 for the second show of 2018. This time one of the leading K-1 rules organizations in Europe comes to Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki near Warsaw for “DSF Kickboxing Challenge: FORTRESS“. In the main event, Piotr Strus will make his long-awaited debut in DSF Kickboxing Challenge. The 29-year-old Polish fighter competes in both kickboxing and MMA. This summer he will fight for the middleweight ACB championship belt.

Strus is coming back to kickboxing after several years of fighting for top MMA organizations (KSW, ACB). First K-1 opponent in his comeback run will be Brice Kombou, whose perfect pro record consists of 6 victories and 0 defeats.

In co-main event, undefeated Łukasz Wichowski makes second defense of his DSF Kickboxing Challenge Full Contact title. This time, current amateur world champion takes on French veteran Yohan Lidon, who is a 3-time professional World Champion in Muay Thai and kickboxing. The first ever winner of IT’S SHOWTIME may be the toughest opponent to date for Wichowski. Their championship fight is scheduled for 5 rounds.

Also on the card, K-1 tournament in the category of up to 65 kilos will take place. Four proven warriors are going to take part in it. The winners of semi-finals will end up meeting in final fight. Later this year, the tournament victor is going to fight for DSF Kickboxing Challenge championship title in 65 kilograms division against Jan “Iron” Lodzik (11-2), who is also on the card in a fight against Murat Azerbiev. The contestants are:

  1. Eliasz Jankowski (18-6-1) – World Champion, European Championship Silver Medalist
  2. Andrej Bruhl (77-10-2) – IPTA World Champion, WFCA European Champion
  3. Orfan Sananzade (2-3) – World Games 2017 Gold Medalist
  4. Yuri Zhukovski (36-5-2) – WAKO PRO World and European Champion

If Jankowski and Zhukovski both manage to win their respective fights, they will have a rematch in the final after highly controversial bloody battle for vacant WAKO PRO European title last month.
