Trevor Smith replaces Bruno Santos to fight Chris Camozzi at UFC 175

UFC officials announced on Thursday that the Brazilian middleweight Bruno Santos will be forced out of UFC 175 due to an injury that he suffered during training camp. Trevor Smith (11-5 MMA, 1-2 UFC) has now agreed to step in and face Chris Camozzi (19-7 MMA, 6-4 UFC).  UFC 175 is turning out to be a stacked card with a pair of Championship fights featuring Champion Chris Weidman vs. Lyoto Machida for middleweight title and Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Alexis Davis for the women’s bantamweight title. Camozzi had a comfortable 4 fight win streak until May 2013, but he is now finding himself coming off back to back losses.  His first loss was at UFC on Fox 8 where he met Ronaldo Souza losing in the first round by a Technical Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke). Chris Camozzi then went on to UFC Fight Night, Fight for the Troops 3, he was handed another loss by decision to Lorenz Larkin.
