LAS VEGAS – Dana White’s Contender Series 12 took place on Tuesday July 10, 2018. The entire event streamed live on UFC Fight Pass from The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas. UFC president Dana White handed two contracts that night.
The first contract was given to Jordan Espinosa as he defeated Riley Dutro via TKO punches in Round 3 at the 4:58 mark. This is his second Dana White’s Contender Series win. It was a back and forth fight until the end of the third round where Espinosa landed a clean right hand and a high kick that dropped him. Riley was able to get back to his feet but Jordan again landed a punch dropped Dutro on his knees against the cage and Jordan took advantage and started punching him until referee Mark Smith called off the fight.
The next fighter that Dana handed out a contract was Bevon Lewis as he defeated Alton Cunningham via TKO strikes in Round 1 at the 3:01 mark. This is also his second Dana White’s Contender Series win. Bevon had control of the fight as he landed two clean knees to Alton, the first one dropped him but was able to get back to his feet but Bevon was able to land a second knee and that’s when the ref saw enough and stopped the fight.
