A pair of exciting fights have been added to the end of year KSW 46 fight card on December 1 in Gliwice, Poland.
First up, Brazil’s Daniel Torres (8-3) makes his sophomore appearance in the KSW cage following a hard earned victory of Filip Wolanski at KSW 44 in June. The 24-year-old has based himself out of the UFD Gym in Germany, home to the likes of Roberto Soldic, Erko Jun, and Martin Zawada, and is currently on an impressive 8-1 run.
Torres’ opponent will be another rising prospect in 25-year-old Roman Szymanski (10-4). Despite his young age, Szymanski has been competing professionally since 2012 and has competed against the likes of former KSW champ Marcin Wrszosek, Marian Ziolkowski, and Denilson Neves. After a year long break he now returns and will be aiming to start making a push towards the featherweight title with a win over Torres.
In the other fight added to the card we will see an all-Poland clash between the undefeated Krystian Kaszubowski (6-0) and Michal Michalski (6-3) in the KSW welterweight division. Kaszubowski seems to be a fighter coming into his own. The 24-year-old has won all six of his pro bouts including getting first round stoppage wins over previously undefeated fighters Christopher Henze and Grzegorz Sanecki in his past two bouts.
However, he will need to be in top form facing a very tough Michal Michalski. The 29-year-old proved to everyone the type of fighter he is in his last fight at KSW 43 pushing recent UFC signing David Zawada to the limit, winning the opening two rounds before getting caught in a submission in the third. No doubt he will be coming to rectify this loss when he faces Kaszubowski at KSW 46.
KSW 46 will be headlined by the much anticipated rematch between the legend Mamed Khalidov (34-5-2) and KSW light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun (15-2). The pair met earlier this year as we saw Narkun come from behind and end Khalidov’s twenty fight KSW unbeaten streak in what is a ‘Fight of the Year’ contender. The co-main will see undefeated lightweight champion Mateusz Gamrot (14-0) goes for a second title as he faces submission ace Kleber Koike Erbst (24-4-1) for the vacant featherweight title.
KSW 46 will be live around the world via online PPV on www.KSWTV.com.
