Tyler Hamilton aims to please in pro debut Friday
Lincoln, R.I. (Sun, November 12, 2017)– Top Connecticut prospect Tyler Hamilton spoke with FightBookMMA before he makes his highly anticipated professional debut against Jose Lugo at CES 47 on Friday in Lincoln, R.I.
How did you find MMA in the first place?
I started wrestling in California then I saw it on TV and my dad found me a group of guys to start training with. That’s where it started. I was born out here but I was in Southern California with my father. I grew up out there and about five years ago, they decided to move back out here and I moved with them.
How excited are you to compete with your teammates at Triforce on Friday?
Very. It’s awesome. I get to train with them and got to know them beforehand, so it’s going to be awesome.
What kind of impact has Brennan Ward had on your fighting career, so far?
A lot. I get to do a lot of good work with him. He’s showed me a lot and taught me a lot of things. He’s been very helpful.
What should CES fans expect from your debut?
Just thrills. I’m going to go out there and be explosive.
Twelve months from now, where would you like to be?
I don’t know, man. I just want to keep fighting, I want to make this a career.
