UFC 173 MEDICAL SUSPENSIONS

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has issued quite a long list of injuries and medical suspensions for the fighters who participated in UFC 173, which took place last Saturday night (May 24, 2014) inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

UFC 173 served up some hefty injuries, to no one surprise Jaime Varner will be out until at least the end of November or until a doctor’s release. Varner showed the fans an unbelievable heart, after he broke his left leg in the first round. However, it didn’t stop him from still trying to knock out Krause, even though he could barely stand and kept falling to the mat. However, it didn’t stop him from keep getting back up and going to battle. Varner would ultimately make it to the end of the first round before the action was stopped because he couldn’t even get up to make it to his corner without assistance.

Ellenberger joined Jaime Varner with a long medical suspension, when he faced Robbie Lawler in a very tough fight. Ellenberger was knocked out in the third round and was left with a left blow out fracture leaving him suspended for up to six months or until he is cleared by an ophthalmologist clears him.
