Tuesday, November 15, 2016— UFC® made their anticipated debut and made history at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016 for UFC 205. In the main event, Featherweight champ McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two belts at the same time. Conor knocked out lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez (28-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) in the second round. In the co-main event, welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16-3-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) defeated Stephen Thompson (13-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) in a majority draw. Two judges scored the fight 47-47, giving Woodley a 10-8 round and a third had the fight for Woodley 48-47 and Thompson three rounds. Jedrzejczyk (13-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) went all five rounds with Kowalkiewicz (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in all out slugfest. Jedrzejczyk defeated Kowalkiewicz via unanimous decision with the scores of 49-46, 49-46, 49-46. The slow-mo highlights don’t include the brutal third-round knee Yoel Romero (13-1 MMA, 8-0 UFC) used to bloody up and defeat Chris Weidman (13-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC).
