LAS VEGAS (Sat. March, 2017)– Live from the fight capital in Las Vegas the UFC attempted to put on a mega card headlined by two title fights but as everyone knows there is nothing promised in the fight game. The co main event was supposed to be Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs Tony Ferguson for the interim lightweight title of the world, but the injury bug struck again and Khabib had to pull out due to complications on making weight. The UFC offered a fight to Ferguson but it was turned down and the whole shebang was canceled. As for the main event, the welterweight champion of the world Tyron Woodley was set to defend his title once again against the #1 contender Stephen Thompson. In their first fight, it went all the way down to the wire and it was declared a draw. Not only were the fans shocked but the fighters were devastated, and with no time wasted the rematch was set and here we go again. Woodley Knows that he needs to finish Thompson once and for all to help set in stone that he is one of the greatest of all time. As for Wonder Boy Thompson he knows that this may be one of the last chances hell get at the title, with a pact division full of contenders Thompson needs to dominate Woodley and become champion. In the co main event two lightweights that are trying to a the top 15 go head to head as Lando Vannata took on David Teymur. Both guys are on a role but there is only room for one in a jam-packed division, a potential fight of the night that didn’t let us down. Former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans makes his middleweight debut against the veteran Daniel Kelly. Evans has a lot to prove and Kelly is looking to show that Evans is past his prime. A lot on the line in the middleweight division. A huge fight in the heavyweight division as Alistair Overeem took on Mark Hunt. With all the drama going on with Hunt and the UFC a dominating win over Overeem will throw the pie right into the face of the UFC. As for Overeem if he ever wants to get back into title contention he needs to finish Hunt with authority and climb back up the ladder. Luri Alcantara took on the undefeated Luke Sanders in a bantamweight showdown, and TUF finalist Amanda Cooper took on the debuting Cynthia Calvillo in the strawweight division. A full slate of prelims that kicked off on The UFC Fight Pass before heading to FS1. Woodley vs Thompson 2 live on PPV from the T-Mobile Arena.

Alistair Overeem new that he had to pack a punch to KO out Hunt and that’s exactly what he did. A straight war in the co main event as both guys knew that they had to lay it all on the line if they want’s to not only win but to crack that top 15. Teymur was landing but backing away, Vannata wasn’t as efficient but he was pushing forward. But as close as it was Teymur did enough to edge out Vannata. Winner: David Teymur (6-1) by Unanimous Decision (30-27,30-27,30-27). – Loser: Lando Vannata (9-2).

Main Event UFC Welterweight Championship
C. Tyron Woodley (16-3-1) Vs #1 Stephen Thompson (13-1-1)

In the main event, we had a rematch that would finally settle who Is the best welterweight in the UFC. Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson went 5 rounds in their first fight and came up with draw. Now recovered and in a new city the two lock up one more time for the gold. Wonder Boy and The Chosen One for 170 pound title. Into the 1st round we go, and we begin with the feeling out process not a lot of action through the first 5 minutes. Wonderboy did do enough to steal the round as for Woodley he seems to be coming out of the box slowly. Into the 2nd and Woodley still can’t figure out Thompson as he hoped right back into defense mode. Thompson dint do much but has sealed round 1 and 2. Into the 3rd and the Champion answers with a big takedown that finds Wonderboy Pinned. After some ground and pound Thompson is back on his feet and back on the offense. A better round for the champion but outside of the takedown Thompson is winning this fight. Into the 4th and as little of action there is Thompson is pushing forward and landing more strikes than Woodley is, were though 4 rounds and Wonder Boy is in control. Into the 5th and final round and Woodley comes out more aggressive by pushing the pace, but a strong defense from the challenger keeps Woodley on the outside looking in. As the 5th round comes to and end Woodley burst out and drops Thompson! Ground and pound follows and Thompson is badly hurt, Woodley is dropping shots but Thompson gets up and survives. All the action comes in the 5th and final round but it was up to the judges. #ANDSTILL welterweight champion of the world Tyron Woodley. The 5th round appeared to have saved Woodley, at times it looked like Thompson was on his way to a championship but with little action it’s hard to leave it in the judge’s hands. What a fight! The Chosen One is still your champion.

Winner: #ANDSTILL Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley (17-3-1) by Majority Decision (48-47,47-47,48-47)
Looser: Stephen Thompson (13-2-1)
