UFC champ Jon “Bones” Jones as suspect in hit-and-run accident

Monday April 27th, 2015– The Albuquerque Police Department states that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is now considered a suspect in a hit-and-run accident near Juan Tabo and Southern which took place early Sunday (4/26/2015) morning.

Simon Drobikok an APD spokesman, said that Jones is considered a suspect in the incident and APD is hoping jones will contact them soon with his side of the story.

Earlier yesterday in a report from the APD, a pregnant female in her 20s was driving in a separate vehicle and was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

The APD stated that they have attempted to contact Jones at his house in Albuquerque on Sunday evening but were unsuccessful.

The UFC released a statement regarding this manner:

“We are aware that the Albuquerque Police Department is interested in speaking to Jon Jones regarding his possible involvement in a motor vehicle accident. We are in the process of gathering facts and will reserve further comment until more information is available.”
