UFC Lightweight Veteran Mark Bocek Retires from MMA
Mark Bocek (12-5) announced via Twitter on Tuesday that he has retiring from MMA competition. Bocek doesn’t have a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame although having spent seven years with the world’s top MMA organization, Bocek has had a very respectable career.
Bocek’s decision to hang his gloves up my have been a result of his injuries hes sustained over the years. Following his loss to Dos Anjos, Bocek had a bout with Michel Prazeres cancelled, with that being said he’s had 17 months away from the Octagon until he returned with a split-decision win over De La Torre at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs. Kennedy.
I’m retiring from pro mma.I would like to thank everyone who has helped me and supported me throughout this journey. Onto the next chapter.
